How to Edit Static Meshes and Materials

Hello,
I am trying to fix an asset in Unreal Engine 5.4. I want to delete a wall inside a room and change the material of a specific wall, but when I select one, it selects the entire room.
My question is how to edit static meshes and materials? deleting walls and changing specific materials?
Can you suggest some tutorials to help me understand the topic?
Many thanks

The only way to apply materials to a certain spot would be to have the asset split up into multiple objects for example you have a room and you separate it into walls, roof, and floor. A different way to achieve the same thing would be to take the asset you have right now and export it into Blender then you can assign materials on the parts of the asset you want, bring it back into Unreal, and apply the materials you want to the already assigned material from Blender. Hope this helps :>

hey i want to edit it on ue not blender

Unfortunately, there is not a way to do that inside of unreal unless the materials are already assigned to individual parts of the asset or are not combined as one
