How to easy refresh child widget?

when i use a custom widget as child widget.
i edit the custom widget style, color or image, scale etc.
then go back to parent widget, the child widget not refresh!
i all ways delete the child widget, ReDrag custom widget to parent widget, that works, but so much trouble
