How to do soft shadows for characters

I’d like to use Ray Traced Distance Field Soft Shadows for my dynamic point lights but I can’t find a way to make them cast any shadows for Skeletal Meshes. (Since my game is indoors, those lights are the only source that can ground my characters.)

So far I’ve tried capsule and inset shadows to no avail.

Did you ever find a solution ~?

I think I’ve used different type of shadows that sort of worked. I can’t recall completely and dont have access to the data anymore, sorry.
