How to destroy this jumpscare actor?

Hello! I’m following this tutorial of a jumpscare where it appears in front of the player. Problem is that I cannot get the “Jumpscare mesh” to disappear after a period of time, I was thinking of using timers to decide WHEN it disappears, but for some reason the “Destroy actor” node doesn’t actually remove it, any clue how to fix this?

I should also mention that in the said tutorial, I put the jumpscare character mesh in the “BP_FirstPlayer” blueprint, so he appears there, don’t know if this info is neccessary but nontheless.

In order to be able to tell you how to destroy it, you first would have to tell us how you created it in the first place?

If it’s a spawned actor, you would have to call destroy actor using that reference.
If it’s just a component, hiding/unhiding or completely destroying the component would do it.

Alrighty so apparently I had accidentally skipped over a portion of the tutorial which shows the specifics on how to remove it, I suppose it’s because the tutorial had “Time stamps” and I skipped one of them, thank you for quick responses though!

(also here is the code if someone is interested, i just added the “Delay” and “Set visibility” :D)
