Hello, everyone. I want to create building with some caves under it, but I want to make those caves seamless, so you can just go down the stairs to reach it without loading screens. Can I do it with landscape? For now I placed the building, but the only way I’ve come up with is just cut the part of landscape (where I’ll place the stairs) and model caves as static mesh in something like Blender. Is there a more “native” way in Unreal?
Paint holes into the landscape itself.
Create a new Material… M_LSVisibility
Blend Mode: Masked
Add Landscape Visibility Mask node to Opacity Mask.
In the World outliner select your landscape.
In Details Panel go to Landscape → Advance and set the Landscape Hole Material
Now go into Landscape Mode, then Sculpting → Select Visibility tool.
