How to create soft outer shadow on font material ?

Hi

I would like to achieve this effect in UMG:

Is there anyone that can post some material graph that I can use as font material
or at least give guidance idea how to approach this problem ? .

Afair somewhere in this video:

…Matt mentions Font Outline Material cannot be used for soft shadows like we see in the pic. The outline is just larger text, it does not have the required alpha data to pull that off.

They discuss all sort of font material things, perhaps you’ll find some info where to go next with this instead.

Distance Field Fonts is what you’ll be looking for, me thinks.

Why can’t I use it, it’s really painful ~ the built-in shadows are too ugly
