I want to make a game in which clouds are not part of the skybox, but objects with which you can interact, or rather fly through them as in the game AER Memories of old
Well, that’s still not exactly what I need. Is there any way for the clouds to be lower, at the same height as the player? And so that they completely cover the sky, that is, they are very dense. I want to do something like this
It’s possible, but your frame rate will be about 1
I’d recommend using a HDR
With an HDR, of course you can’t fly in and out of the clouds, because you can never reach them. But you could combine it with spawning single clouds and maybe make it look good.
Well, HDR doesn’t suit me for the reason that I need to be able to fly through clouds, but I was thinking maybe I could use Landscape to create clouds, the fact is that clouds should completely cover the earth.
Well you can do it with the standard system, but if you want it to look good it would probably be a high end machine thing only…
I absolutely do not need the clouds to look realistic, they may not even be of high quality, this will only make it better.
Did you make any head way with this? I’m looking for a similar mechanic. I wanted to put some stormy clouds in just one area.
