how to write your own material expressions seems to be undocumented.
Maybe someone knows how to do this.

Hey,
First, create new material function.
Next, open this Material Function. Make sure you don’t select any node ( click on the empty place).
Now, you can write a description, set category and if you select Expose to Library then it will be visible in others materials. In the end, press Apply button.
