How to create an animation with Alembic HairGroom on

With Alembic HairGroom attached to a skeletal mesh, what is the best way to check the animation in UE4?
Currently, you can add a component to the skeletal mesh actor and see the hair in place, but this can only be seen in the viewport or in BP.
I think this is inconvenient for animators to create animations with DCC tools, etc. How do other people do it?
