How to create a default Sky Sphere suitable for Sun Position Calculator Plugin?

Hello,

I try to use a Sun Position Calculator Plugin, and unfortunately the BP_SunPosition needs to be connected with a Sky Sphere. But I use other lightings, like Directional Light, SkyLight, SkyAtmosphere, and there is no Sky Sphere in my list.
Here is how it looks:

There is nothing in the Sky Sphere list and I can’t connect to anything because I don’t have a Sky Sphere built. And I don’t know how to create a Sky Sphere. Please let me know how to do it in UE5.

Thanks.
Alex

Hey @Naiuma!

Here you go! Here’s the official 5.0 documentation on Sky Spheres! The first thing in the list is how to add one to your scene, and judging by what you’re working on, the rest of the page might come in handy!

Lighting can be tough. You’ve got this!

Hello Mind-Brain, Thank you for the answer. Do you mean that the Sky Atmosphere = the Sky Sphere? Thanks.

Unfortunately a Sky Atmosphere is incompatible for the Sky Sphere slot in the Sun Position Calculator Plugin. :frowning:

Doh! I’m sorry @Naiuma, I misunderstood your question.

The sky sphere BP is hidden by default. You need to open your content browser and open the settings, and check “Show Engine Content”. Then do a search for “Sky Sphere BP”. Sorry about that! Hope that gets you figured out. I’m not entirely sure why it’s so hard to find.
