I am trying to copy the properties of a material instance using the right-click menu “Copy All Properties in Category” but when i do i am unable to paste it on any material (including its own) as it says the properties dont match whats in the clipboard.
If i paste the clipboard into notepad the properties are indeed invalid. But i have no idea why? Any tips?
(im using unreal 5.4.1 on a Windows 11 machine)
right-click the group/category in the top part of the menu, in the target it will paste onto parameters that share the same name/hierarchy.
you will have to do this across the 1st-layer of properties, so in this pic below I will have to do it wor Water, etc (8x):
You cannot seem to do this at the top-top-level ‘parameter groups’. 
This feels like a bug… as i can copy both the ‘General’ group or properties ‘Previewing’ group of properties at the top level?
You can copy anything, but paste won’t be available.
Unsure if this is expected or a bug.
