Hi,
I added a staircase BSP to my map and converted it to 'Static Mesh" and now I get an overlapping UV error by default.
I generated a UV channel and changed it to it and that didn’t help.
Thank you for your advice.

Overlapping UV shouldn’t matter at all, unless it’s your lightmap channel (which is usually the second channel, nr 1, nr 0 is your texture). Your screenshot shows your lightmap source being in channel 0, change that to channel 1, and it shou
Or download Blender, watch tutorial or two and make proper staircase in blender.
If you are serious about making maps/games you will learn some 3d app soon or later anyway.
Changed light map source still doesn’t work. It is a problem in this case because its rendering the mesh neon green.
I already know how to use blender, have been for many years. I just thought I would construct the ruff lay out in first, then import my blender meshes.
I didn’t realize that basic drag and drop point and click functions of the editor were broken and cant be fixed requiring me to use a 3rd party application and go through extra steps.
It’s old minor bug. Open newly created mesh and then click on property matrix button(Near search field, on the right). Now change “Light Map Coordinate index” from 0 to 1
I dunno why this is still not fixed, it just put a wrong number by default
