How To Constrain fractured Geometry Collections Together

Hi. I have several fractured geometry collections in this scene. I’m trying to constrain the statue to the base. I’m also trying to constrain the bird and hammer to the statue. In Houdini this is called “glue adjacent”. I’m trying to do this all in UE5 with chaos destruction but having no luck.

You can see several problems in the scene. The hammer and bird get ejected right away. The statue starts to wobble despite there being a 2 second delay with the explosion.

I’ve tried the physics constraint actor with no luck.

Questions

  1. I want to keep the statue a separate object, how do I stop it from wiggling until the simulation begins?

  2. How do you constrain 2 or more geometry collections together?
