How to consolidate variables with the same name and type into a single parent class?

I want to assign a common parent class to the primary data assets I created individually, so that they can share common functions. And I would like to move and consolidate a class—sharing the same name and type—into a parent class.

How can I migrate it without losing references or the contents of data assets? The variables to be migrated are those of the int, string, and text classes.

Not at workstation right now to doublecheck. But I think you can just add the vars to the target pda (names have to be exactly the same), then right click a data asset on content browser and hit convert data asset type.
