How to combine skeletal meshes in control rig?

Good day. I have a character and it’s hair as two separated skeletal meshes. For now I’ve created control rig for main character and I want to know how should I connect hairs to character. I know that I could combine them in character BP, but in that case hairs will not have any physics. What should I do to implement physics to hair? Is my question correct or I should do with hairs something else? For now I’m thinking about adding hairs to character rig and apply something like full body IK or basic FABRIK to it, but maybe it’s wrong.
