I’m running into an issue where my full-body captures are reconstructing with this spiky geometry on the holes of my model’s shoes. That’s annoying in it’s own right, and deleting marginal triangles, or selecting large triangles does not clean it up well enough. I learned about the new 1.5 feature in mesh settings where you can enable ‘remove marginal triangles’ during reconstruction, and that worked very well!

However, now when I either ‘close holes’ or ‘clean model’ everything in the model will close holes except the bottom of the shoes. I can export and reimport the model and that works, but I’d rather do all my processing without this.
Now, why would removing marginal triangles be any different before the reconstruction vs after, I’m not sure, but it definitely doesn’t do the same thing right now.
I should also mention, ‘check topology’ comes up completely clean, detecting no holes, or anything.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
