How to change the shapes in a Modular Control Rig

I have added a Modular Control Rig to my character. The spine and hip controls look ok, they match the character size and are yellow. But when I manually add controls for shoulder, arm, and fingers, they are grey and 100 x too big. I know this is due to scaling of my model when I exported from Blender.

With a regular FK or IK rig, I can adjust the shapes (scale, circle, box, color, etc). But for the Modular shoulder, arm, and fingers, the shape properties are locked, I can not change them. Any solution?

Hello @basilwort5, I can help you with that!

You can change the color/size and other details of you controllers by selecting the Arm (or any other part you want) from the Module Hierarchy on the left. Then, on the Details panel, scroll down to Default and you’ll find the options under Module Settings. You need to tick Override Color if you want to change the color, but the rest should update normally.

If your model is too small, though, you might want to export it with different settings from Blender or change the import settings scale, since it might give you some issues in the future.

Thank you – it was “Control Size”, that got them all sized down. But yes, I do get scaling issues between the root (at 1 ) and my sub controls like the spine which is scaled at 0.01. It’s a tricky issue, I need to work on it and come up with a good work flow.
