I’m making a 2.5D game using a heavily modified version of the standard 3rd person character. I’ve successfully replaced the unreal mannequin with my own model, but now I’ve got a conundrum: I can’t see his face!
Whenever I walk back and forth, he rotates to look in the direction of his movement, like the third-person character. However, he rotates away from the camera instead of towards it, which is irritating since I think it’d be better if the player could see the character’s face. Here’s a diagram explaining the situation, and what I’d prefer happen.
I’ve currently got a bandaid solution where he quickly flicks back and forth between looking straight left-and-right, but it looks cheap IMO
