I would like to add things to the island’s desciption but without uploading a whole new version. Is it possible ?
Yes, just click on the Publish button of the one you have already published and made active from the Private Versions tab in the creator portal and it will let you.
Will changing the islands description reset XP calibration?

To change your island’s description without reuploading everything, go to the platform where your island is published (like Fortnite Creative or UEFN), find your published island under your creator dashboard or library, and look for an “Edit” or “Details” option.
