I use Daz studio to import my characters to Unreal Engine. However, the import plugin forces characters to face the wrong way as Daz and Unreal do not share same axis directions.
Even if I turn my character in Daz to face the direction as it should be in Unreal, as soon as I send my character to Unreal using the Daz-to-Unreal Bridge plugin, my character returns to its default values.
So, is there a way to fix the orientation of my character within Unreal? I know this can be done in animations and retargeting, but I am looking for a solid fix so that my calculations in blueprints don’t get messed up because of this problem.
It is important that I get the Skeletal Mesh to face the correct direction. Is there a tool within Unreal to do this, or do I need to use outside tools to fix this?
