Let me start by saying that I’ve been looking everywhere without success. Tried everything I could, but couldn’t get around this simple thing.
I have a skeleton and skeletal mesh assets for my Scifi trooper. Then I have a skeleton and skeletal mesh for the mannequin from the Lyra UE5 project. I retargeted a bunch of animations from the Lyra skeleton to my Scifi trooper. Everything worked fine except the tips of a few fingers.
Now my Scifi trooper has some of his fingertips which point in weird directions.
My original thought was trying to edit the base pose of my Scifi trooper, with the goal of moving the fingertips slightly “inwards” to compensate for the error.
However, I can’t do this. It won’t work, because if I try to change bone orientation using the skeleton editor tool changes do not seem to take effect (even after i press “accept”) and I’m not sure it’s even the right approach.
Any help?
