The editor often gives an unsaved content promp, and asks you to save the modifications. Sometimes I actually don’t want to save the modification, but there is only the “save seleted” option, no “abandon” option. If I click the “cancel” button, it will keep on giving this unsaved content promp whenever you open the editor next time.
How can I cancel this prompt and restore the modifications?
Just untick the stuff you don’t want to save. It won’t ask you next time you open the editor.
Hey there @uniwang! To add to Clockwork’s (already correct) answer, there is often a “Don’t save” option as well. Some content types being in the listing can disable it, but it should be there for most content types, in your case widgets and a BP shouldn’t disallow it.
What engine version are you running?
Yes you are right. After closing and reopening the editor, the promp has gone. Thanks.
So, is it possible to have this “do not save” option without leaving the level?
This option seems only to be available when I want to open another level or project, if I stay in the level and click this unsaved button in the bottom-right of the editor, it will not give me the “do not save” option.
Ahh yes apologies, the do not save option is meant entirely for when closing the project. Since manual save is an action you have to start, it seems to be removed from that version of the save menu. In any case, Clockwork’s answer would be how I’d also recommend it if you’re just trying to not save entirely while still in engine.
Thanks
