How to anchor a bone in a animation?

Hi all

I was trying to make a animation in which the player is holding a flashlight and running.
So what I want to do is anchor the right upper arm bone or in simpler words prevent it and it’s children from moving.I am very new to UE so I really need help.

So what you’re trying to do is pretty deep into animation. I’m going to throw you a video covering the most useful part of what you’re looking for. What you’re trying to do is blend animations by bone, so basically as the animations play you merge them but give more animation A to top/more animation B to bottom, so basically you can run and do other stuff with your top half :slight_smile:
