I want to have players be able to pick up things like chairs and have a blueprint in front of them on where they want to place it. They can place it and pick it back up. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how to do this, I’ve seen it implemented in fortnite creative games but I just don’t know how they are able to place things down and pick it up again. From what I saw in the game, they had an interact button that says pick up, and I think it hides the prop, and then with a signal remote they are able to place the prop in front of your character.
Please i need 20 tester for Google play console
There are plenty of resources available for learning to create a system like this, it just depends on how you want to do it. For example, do you want the object to be ‘stored’ in the player’s inventory until such time as they decide to place it? If so, this could get you started. Or do you want them to pick it up and have it hover in front of them and be dropped into place with physics? If so, try this. If neither of those work for you, there’s dozens of videos about this on YouTube to learn from and adapt to your needs.
Sadly I dont think Unreal Editor for Fortnite has a lot of the components necessary to achieve this as in those tutorials.
