Hi, I have created landscape materials with layer blend, However, I want to make my landscape texture look more believable and realistic, how can I add tessellation to it ?
Tessellation would not make your “texture” look more believeble.
Either way you cannot. Tessellation has been removed.
is there an alternative way ?
To have more than one vertex per meter?
Use meshes.
Short of that, no.
That is all tessellation did - badly at that too.
If you need non collision solutions like say snow to make snow trails, the proposed alternative is using an heightfiled mesh.
To make your terrain look more believeble there are about a billion technicques, none of which require tessellation. Most of them are avaliable from youtube tutorials - some of them made by quixel for instance.
It just depends on what your skill level is and what exactly you are trying to achieve.
