How to add physics to belt lantern

Hi everyone! First of all thank you for taking the time to read this.

I’ve managed to get a lantern attached to the pelvis socket and its working fine. It follows the character, does everything its intended to do. I’m wondering how I could do the following now;

  1. Enable physics on it so it dangles which ties into the 2nd point
  2. How can I make the physics collide with the body of my character?

Any insights or just pointers on what I should look at are more than appreciated!
