How to add directional influence (like from smash bros) into unreal engine 5 using blueprints?

Hi I’m trying to find out how to add DI to a third person battle royale game im creating, preferably using blueprints.
I’m willing to take any examples that apply to a platform fighting game’s blueprints or c++, any information is helpful really. Very little information on this can be found from google searching.
