Afaik you can’t instance skeletal meshes yet. Which is really just too bad…
ok not sure how but i did the foliage check box in editor settings as described above. did the create foliage actor and targeted the BP inventory item and enabled collisions in the actor foliage asset. placed the original foliage mesh using the foliage actor i had then right clicked and replaced the actor with my new folaige actor containing the blue print i just made. now my foliage is using the inventory system i set up on the BP attached to the new foliage actor i just made using the above help… no idea how but its working as expected. FKH but its working lol
