Hello everyone, I am new to Unreal Engine.
I’m experiencing an issue where my low poly knife asset’s normal map appears differently in Unreal Engine compared to Substance Painter.
Therefore, I would like to ask for help:
How should I make my normal map in UE have similar surfaces as in Substance Painter?
In my case, the same normal map looks different in UE and Substance Painter.
The knife looks rough and has deeper damages in UE but my actual texture work in Substance Painter is more subtle.
Knife in Unreal Engine:
(Coarse, Rough metal, the “K” on metal look unrecognizable)
Knife texture work in Substance Painter preview:
(Smoother surface, the “K” on metal look clearer)
Addition, Knife test render in Maya Arnold:
(similar result as in Substance Painter)
