How player works ?

Hi guys,

I’m trying to understand the logic behind how player works…
I created a blank project without template, by default player can be controlled by my 360 pad, but there is nothing in input tab of project settings.
I tried to create a new game template, a new PC blueprint and assigned to it without any input and i could always use my pad to move,

How does it work ? where is stored defaut input config ?
