How is a moving material with a simple texture and a rotator performance wisee ?

It is much less than any transparent material. I would say it is negligible decrease from normal material.

You can test it by placing 100s of even thousands objects with such material. And checking FPS compared to non rotating.

Also there is that performance rendering/shader complexity mode, but i think it will show all greeen.
