How i can make a building, im confused.So i have build it part by part or merging parts and make it just one mesh? But i want make it doors openable, or place on the ground claymores, block the window frame, and when the rocket hits the wall it will be get damaged by visual. Help please
honestly, most buildings are just rectangular blocks, you may have an indent for doorways or a window but most the details will be done with textures and normal maps to give the illusion of depth… since you want window frames and doorways you can interact with, your model would have an opening for those items, doors can be made to rotate along a vertical axis when activated via blueprint tied to the door model which would be done separately, but the building itself should just be nothing more than a static mesh… as for visual damage do you mean actual chunks taken out of the wall, or just burn marks?

You can check out the marketplace item called DENT realtime destruction or something like that, if it looks like it could suit your needs you can consider trying it.
