If I recall correctly, the Lumen in the land of nanite demo ran at 30 fps on a PS5 so my guess is… no.
At a minimum it needs the newer consoles, not sure if it scales down well enough for the Xbox Series S though
It requires nvme, fast ssd, or m.2 drive. Model data is huge and it needs super fast transfer from storage. Rendering wise i think its faster than non nanie (if all is loaded into memory already), but in games its not the case.
Without fast and huge SSD all you can do with it is empty desert enviroment, and that is what Epic did and why demo is desert. More diverse map and it would not run without SSD.
I see. If the game loads very limited data, like 1 room or interior focused (closed/limited) set of model datas, then I guess I should still be able to get benefit out of it.
That’s not likely an option, I don’t know whether PS4 support is going to be an option for UE5, but in any case if it was then I would expect those features to be disabled if that is your target platform. Some things only scale down much. The power of the new consoles is the target for UE5
