How does the Easy Anti-Cheat work in Unreal?

How does the implementation of the Easy Anti-Cheat work in UE? I know that you have to email them directly to acquire a license, but what happens after that?

My biggest question is regarding Epic Online Services. If I’m publishing a game onto Steam instead of the Epic Games Store, and am using some external service like AWS GameLift or Microsoft Azure PlayFab, can I still use Easy Anti-Cheat?

I’d really appreciate any advice anyone has!
