After upgrading to UE5, my Apex destruction doesn’t work anymore. I’m getting this message: APEX is deprecated. Destruction in future will be supported using Chaos Destruction
Which is fine, but I am not finding other people with this issue and I am not finding a solution that will work for me (solutions seem to be for people who are placing assets in maps as opposed to procedurally generating them).
Is there an official update process that I just cannot seem to find? Do other people have this problem and are not posting about it?
Although the plan is to completely replace Physx and Apex with Chaos, I did notice that in 5.0.3 the ‘Apex Destruction’ plugin is listed (off by default)
Does enabling this plugin allow things to work like they did in UE4?
It was enabled. I haven’t dug around to see if I could make Apex Destruction work again as I figured I should be updating to Chaos. I’m looking to see how I can use Chaos in a similar way to Apex.
