Does anyone know how to keep the landscape from going through walls in 2.0? I placed some walls and want the ground to go right up to it like a basement. No matter what size of brush I use, the dirt goes through the wall. If I erase the dirt that went through the wall it leaves a gap between the wall and the dirt.
Use the flatten tool after getting just the right height with the sculpt tool at a low setting.
Hey Badwolfpro1,
The flat brush will give hardest edges, use noise brush to get it below basement level, then use the flat brush to clear the basement area first then define the outside edges with a smaller flat brush,
But flat brush edges tend to warp a bit depending on distance viewed at (move backwards away from and see how much it changes) and usually needs a bit of smooth brush to fix this, but smoothing gives it too much curve unless you smooth right beside the edges and not on the actual edge.
Or you can use some dirt or grass tile from fortnite props to define the edges, and mould your landscape around that.
Another method could be to make another new landscape tile and move it in place so it lines up with your walls, but sometimes it goes funny with overlapping landscapes, not always.
I have been trying different size brushes, fallout, etc. and it all comes out the same. It always makes the bottom stick out more than the top so when the top is flush with the wall, the bottom sticks out. Here is a sample picture of what I kind of mean.
Maybe that is the rout I nay have to go and use landscaping from props then build up to it to blend as much as I can and if it doesn’t look real good along the walls I could line the walls with bushes.
Yeah, its probably best to make a feature border garden or concrete walkway.
You should be able to scale the tiles in one direction to save on item count (unless it stretches the texture).
You can also use the landscape paint tool to paint the grass away with dirt underneath.
