Is there a way to hide the HUD but still be able to see the player announcements you type in kismet? Or is there a way which you could change the file for the HUD?
Are you talking about UDK or the UE4? When about UDK, then please post it into the UDK forum: https://forums.epicgames/forums/366-UDK 
In UDK you have to edit your HUD in a program like adobe flash
