How do you collaborate?

Hi everybody, I am quite new to the DevKit and I am trying to understand how everything works. Forgive me my silly questions. :rolleyes:

For instance, I’d like to understand how you can work in teams via GitHub when the DevKit spits out binary files only. I see Ark mods on GitHub and I can fork and clone them but how on earth would a merge of these files work?
