I know this was not an issue in earlier versions, but apparently it’s something they’ve broken - I mean changed - in the newer versions. I’m using Unreal 5.3, and I’ve added a preview mesh to my skeleton. In earlier versions, if my memory is correct, you could just select the preview asset and move it around to where it needs to be. In my current project, when i click on the preview asset, absolutely nothing happens, and it won’t let me adjust it. Does anyone here know how to manipulate preview assets in 5.3?
Hey @Ianu_Gor!
As far as I can remember, you adjust the location of the socket, assuming you’re talking about adding something like a weapon or clothing. To actually adjust where the mesh would sit on the SOCKET, you have to adjust where the anchor point is on the mesh itself!
Which, you can do now without having to leave the editor! No longer do you have to export a mesh to adjust the anchor (root). You can pull it into a level and use the modeling mode to adjust the root of a mesh.
Hope this helps!
