How do you add more than 2 layers to auto-material?

Heres what I have so far. I would like to add more than 2 layers so i can add rocks and snowcaps to the mountains.

What my map looks like:

If it’s a landscape, you usually use layer blend nodes, rather than lerps.

Oh, i watched it from a youtube video.

I don’t know how layer blend node works or how to connect it. How are the layers ordered? Where and what do i connect?

I have Grass, dirt, and rock output from World machine that kinda seem useless.

It looks like a lot of it is missing there. You need albedo and normal for each layer, minimum.

This explains the basics

I think it still works the same way in 5. This part anyway… It’s a whole thing, you probably have to watch a lot of vids

There’s a very good one by Mawi, I’ll see if I can hunt it out… nope can’t find it, but here’s another

Ignore anything about displacement. It’s been removed from the engine.

The first video did not work. it’s all black.

What i’ll end up doing for now is just replace the textures with a landscape pack i bought in the store. It has a auto-material already with like 7 layers. I’ll just swap out the Material function with my own ones.

Likely due to your landscape having Nanite turned on. Just do the simple turn off/on and it’ll reset itself.
