How do we upgrade a Lyra project to the new version?

Hello I started a Lyra project not long ago and I’m looking to get the update applied on my project, is this possible and if yes how ?

Thanks.

You start the new engine, and then open the lyra project with it. It will ask if you want to make a copy…

I just updated from 5.0.1 to 5.0.2 that went smoothly…

But I see in the hotfix that the lyra project has been updated, so I went to my vault and clicked update on the Lyra pack, does this also magically update the lyra project I started ?

Have a look at the project in the launcher, it tells you the version there.

Cannot find Lyra version inside the project settings… the engine update went well, I guess my question now is : When I update a package on the marketplace, does it also update all my current projects using it ?

No, you have to do that yourself, because it doesn’t know which ones you want to do.

If it says 5.0 next to the picture of the Lyra project, you’ve got 5.02 because you updated the engine.

yeah it says 1.0.0.0… so is there a way to update it to the most recent version without starting over again ? Thanks btw much appreciated.

You don’t need to worry

Lyra uses the current version on the 5 engine you have. So if you’ve upgraded, it’s done

@ClockworkOcean thanks for the info here but I think you are misunderstanding the question. There are new updates to the Lyra project itself, what OP is asking is how can we update our existing Lyra-based projects with the new changes in the Lyra template project, not the new engine version.

I’m totally misunderstanding it.

I’d get a new copy of the Lyra project, and migrate the stuff in the content folder into a copy of your current project. That will probably do it.
