I would like to know how to set up the editor’s in-buit text subtitles (dialogue) for my game, BUT the example given by Epic only shows how to set it up for just one of the characters. But I need to know how to set it up also for the other character and I’m not sure what to do for the other character because the other character’s blueprint settings is not shown in the tutorial example that Epic gives…For I’m not using Mixamo
Blueprints.
SECOND. I need to know why Epic wants to link 1 audio file per subtitle line of text or the subtitles don’t show, when to me it makes more sense instead to have all your subtitle texts in your conversation chain and then have one audio file to play out the whole entire conversation between the parties involved so you don’t have to create 15-20 separate sound waves files just to play out your conversation.
Sometimes we may not want audio to play on the subtitle so if there’s no audio file linked then it still should display the text.
AND THIRD for conversations the Subtitle System should allow you to also pipe in your dialogue text also directly in from your dialogue Data Table
into the Text Subtitles themselves by the row number ranges instead of just only having the option to typing in the text subtitle manually
into the box. you should beable to do both or Did Epic have to create 20,000 separate soundwave files just to do all the dialogue subtitles
in Mass Effect?
The One thing Unreal Engine is guilty of is MAKING TOO MANY FILES off one thing.
