How do the license tiers work?

The usage rights will be the same for all tiers.

The formats that you are permitted to access will be governed by the license tier that you selected - so,

  • If you selected the Standard License at the Personal-Referenced Only tier, then you can only access the product’s referenced asset(s).
  • If you selected the Standard License at the Personal tier, then you can access both source and referenced assets, if the product that you selected includes referenced assets.
  • If you selected the Standard License at the Professional tier, then you can access both source and reference assets. Please note that not every product sold at the professional tier will include source files.

What happens to assets bought under the personal tier, after you reach 100k+ revenue?

Your eligibility for a particular license tier applies at the point that you purchase the product. So, if you buy something at the Standard - Personal tier and then your project is wildly successful (in which case, congrats!), you retain the use of that product at the Standard - Personal tier and can continue to use it in your projects. If your success catapulted you to the Professional tier, you would need to purchase the Standard - Professional tier next time you go buy other products.

I hope that helps clear things up - please let me know if anything is still fuzzy.
