How do I use multiuser editing in unreal engine 5

Me and my friend have been struggling to set up a multi user server on UE5.3.2 We are following all the steps in the guides we have seen but when we attempt to join each others sessions, we cant see them. We assume we are not putting in the correct values in UDP Messaging and Server port but we are not sure. We are using Radmin VPN and putting those IP addresses in. We would really like to start collaborating so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Haven’t tried that myself, therefore don’t know what might be the issue. But I must ask, is your objective being able to work on the same project with collaborators? If so, using version control and setting up seperate branches (I’m talking about Git here) for different collaborators is the way to do it.

We plan to use source control later on when we actually make a game but my friend is a beginner so I am trying to teach him how it works a bit in the same project. He is new to Unreal and although I have been trying to get him to learn through tutorials he says it would be easier if I just taught him a bit beforehand. I wish he just watched some tutorials to learn then we can just use source control but it is what it is plus it would be pretty fun.
