how did you go about transferring from one pc to the other? did you just copy the content folder or project folder? did you use a system like perforce?
it doesnât update the second project. If you work on one on one computer IT WONT TOUCH THE OTHER
its not meant to, they are for all intents separate projects at that time. that is unless you are implementing some sort of source control such as perforce.
also when replying to a post use the reply button instead of making answers that are not answers. it keeps things easy to follow for people in the future.
Ok but I am not trying to transfer level to another project, but to another Computer. I already transferred the whole project, except the level never went with itâŚ
I tried perforce. Guess what, DIDNT WORK!
You need to have a nicer attitude if you want help. People here are spending their time to help each other out, just yelling âdidnât workâ doesnt help anyone. You should explain your working process, provide screenshots if possible.
Select the level you want to send over in Content Browser > Right click > Asset Actions > Migrate > show the other projectâs Content folder. It will try to copy everything in that level into the other project, but youâll get a warning when it finds the same assets in the other project. Overwrite only the level and say NO to other asset warnings, and you should be good to go. Make sure to get a backup of your project beforehand just in case though.
Well guess what! Itâs your lucky day. Because UE4 is broken and it doesnât update the second project. If you work on one on one computer IT WONT TOUCH THE OTHER! Isnât that fantastic!
Sorry⌠Iâve just all hope. Iâd rather quit than look any further.
Have you tried âp4 submitâ to carry your changes to the repository?
