Essentially what I want to do is switch between two different cameras between two different sequences. However, selecting a camera to be active in one shot overrides the Camera Binding in every other shot.
Attached is a GIF of my problem: The last shot should not be what it shows in the gif.
Instead, it should show this:
But when I set the camera for that shot (let’s call it “Wide”), every shot that came before it in the sequence now uses the “Wide” camera.
It’s really frustrating to only be able to use one camera for my entire film, and would really appreciate it if I could get any guidance for this problem! Thank you
I’m not 100% I understand your setup because it’s a bit hard to see from the gifs and screenshots. But I think you have multiple shots that all reference the same level sequence. So when you dive into one of the shots and change the camera, it’s going to affect all the shots since those shots are referencing the same.
There are different ways to approach this.
One way is to make each shot reference a different level sequence. Then you can freely change the camera in each shot. The downside of this is you will have to copy the level sequence and if you decide to change the animation in one shot, it won’t be changed for the other shots. But that can also be an advantage.
Another way is to just make multiple cameras at the top level and use the camera cuts track to switch between those cameras.
There’s certainly other ways and maybe some can suggest another method that might be better suited for you. Hope this helps some.
