How do I stop Unreal automatically adding objects to my sequence? ('Autotrack')

I have recently upgraded to UE 5.5 and have been loving it so far. However I am in the middle of a project and it keeps breaking with the same issue. It’s now getting ridiculous.

I seemed to have accidentally changed a setting somewhere. Every time I move something around in the editor Unreal keeps adding it into the sequence I am working on, automatically, and putting it in a folder called ‘Autotracked Changes’. Is this a new feature? Because it’s horrendous!

Every time an object is added I completely lose control of it, it’s parenting does not work, and when the project is saved the object moves around and turns up somewhere completely wrong. I have spent an entire day now trying to fix issues caused by this feature rather than completing any work at all.

How do I stop this horrible feature?

Thanks in advance!

PS the project consists mainly of static meshes rotating around each other via parents/blueprints, eg cogs in a machine, etc.

Another issue I have is that the auto keyframe has changed and become seemingly uselesss. You change a value and then it goes yellow and it is impossible to set a keyframe. What does this mean when a value turns yellow? Very frustrating feature!!!

To disable the Auto tracked changea, In Edit Options, toggle off Allow Sequencer Edits Only. The default is Allow All Edits

Here’s the docs on that:
