How do i make Unreal Engine use less RAM

Im using Unreal Engine + C++ and the unreal Engine alone with an empty scene is using 5GB while VS Code is using 500MB and i want Unreal to use 3GB is there any easy option to optimise Unreal Engine through project settings and editor settings

I am not presently aware of a specific config option thay will do this. Typically if I am suspicious about memory usage I will use a memreport -full console command to dump a report and take a look at the output. Gets saved in your projects saved folder under profiling.

Im not an Unreal profiling expert by any means but you can also open up a trade using LLM and running it through Insights.

Do you know what configuration you are running? (E.g. Debug, Dev, shipping) and are you actively debugging with vscode? Those will bloat your memory usage.
