How do I install Unreal Engine 4-27 if I can't install Xcode? (my Mac doesn't have enough space)

I’m trying to install the latest version of Unreal Engine (version 4.27.2) (I’m teaching myself VFX), but it says I can’t install it without Xcode. I go onto the App Store and it says I can’t install it because my Mac doesn’t have enough space. This is a photo of it:

What do I do to solve this problem without resorting to Xcode or filling up storage on my Mac?

I don’t think that you can simply not install the unreal engine on a computer which doesn’t meet the absolute minimum requirements (like hdd space).

Furthermore you will not have any fun with such a system when it works on the edge if requirements even when you get it installed.
