How do I get the surface fracture of a Geometry Solver

I’m making a game based of destruction,

I know that there are multiple types of fractures,

So therefore they are made from a 2D map,

But how DO you get the the surface texture of a fractured mesh,

Is this even possible?

If not is there a work around this
